Settlement Music School provides the Philadelphia region with high quality instruction in music and art for both children and adults. While the Settlement Music School is physically located in 5 locations, their oldest and largest center, the Mary Louise Curtis branch, is nestled within a neighborhood in South Philadelphia. Throughout the years this branch has grown and organically adapted to meet the needs of the flourishing programs within its aging facility. To look towards the future, a comprehensive review of the spatial needs and the formation of a master plan was completed to provide a pathway for future prosperity. Both interior and exterior spaces were re-visioned to correspond with the present and future needs of the program, while maintaining the integrity of this historic branch.
