Located in the heart of the Lawncrest neighborhood in North Philadelphia, the rejuvenation of the Lawncrest Recreation Center and its surroundings seeks to enhance local community amenities. As part of Philadelphia’s Rebuild program, SITIO conducted an existing condition assessment and designed a master plan for this extensive 18-acre site. SITIO then transitioned into a comprehensive renovation and addition to the Center and reorganization of the site that includes basketball and tennis courts, a roller rink, swimming pool, playing field, and park space. The revitalized Center will offer versatile and adaptable spaces, improved and easily navigable circulation, heightened accessibility and visibility, and a new building addition featuring additional program space.
